A group of cyclists was caught on video blatantly defying a no-riding sign as they casually cycle along a boardwalk in Pasir Ris Park.
Footage of the scene was shared on ‘Nature Society (Singapore)’ Facebook group by user Kok Chwee Sim earlier on Sunday morning (6 June).
Under the comments section, Kok Chwee Sim explained the reasoning behind sharing the video: “To those who say I am being a busybody / kaypoh showing this video … I would not have bothered to take this video if this was a weekday and there are few people on the boardwalk.
“This is a Sunday morning with many families and elderly visitors on the boardwalk. And to give perspective, a minute before I shot this video, one of the first cyclists in this ‘contingent’ actually crashed into another in front of him and fell … the cyclist in front was trying to avoid hitting a family.”
